Holy shit we have a lot of Star Wars news right now. Had I known that there were this many, I would have simply made one huge post about them. First we had details on Han Solo movie, then Ian Kenny was casted for the Han solo Movie, then we got details on Luke & Leia’s role in The Last Jedi, and now we hear that Disney have Huge plans for Star Wars’ future.

Once again, this comes from Disney CEO Bon Iger. He told Hollywood Reporter: “We’re starting talk about what could happen after Episode IX. About what could be another decade-and-a-half of Star Wars stories.”

I’m sure that many Star Wars fans would be more than ready to see another 15 years of Star Wars movies.

Rogue One director Gary Whitta also said recently that

“One of the thing things we really want to do at Lucasfilm is create a universe and not keep relying on old legacy characters. We’ve got Rey and Finn and Kylo Ren, they’ve already introduced a new generation of characters. Whatever kind of Star Wars films they’re making 10 or 20 years from now, I don’t think they’re going to be relying on the same legacy story elements as we have in the past.”

The expanded universe has countless stories to tell, and some have even said that we could see some of them on the big screen. And with the films like Rogue One and the Han Solo movie, we could see more stories outside the Skywalker family told on the big screen.

Whether or not the next 15 years will be full of Skywalker focused movies, standalone movies, or movies with our new heroes Rey and Finn, I’m sure as hell ready for almost two decades of Star Wars movies!!
